Blackbird
Blackbird V6 is a tool for optimizing privacy, security and performance settings on Windows systems. It is portable, restorable, flexible program with a focus on leaving the smallest possible footprint and the ability to rollback changes. It blocks telemetry completely, prevent Windows spyware, on both the application and network level, without editing the HOSTS file in any way nor does it mess with user firewall settings. It removes all Windows telemetry updates, Windows Ads and all Windows built-in advertising and any preinstalled app user want. A user can stop PC from downloading and installing sponsored software in the background. Furthermore, the application restores privacy, prevent diagnostic data, passwords, contacts, URL, SMS, handwriting, location, and P2P-update sharing. It removes unique ad-ID tracking token and built-in advertising. Blackbird does not run in the background, instead of relying on persistent routes and resolving hostnames to IP addresses each time Blackbird is applied by the user. After usage no new files are left behind on computer and user can safely delete blackbird.exe. Blackbird has succeeded when user forget it was ever there. Everything software can be restored using the software itself or manually.

- Prevents cross-device synchronization (i.e., Windows Phone auto-syncing with PC account data);
- Removes GWX and Windows 10 upgrade pop-ups;
- Removes Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA);
- Removes your unique ad-tracking ID token;
- Removes a bunch of Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 telemetry updates (View the full list here);
- Removes Superfish, eDellRoot, HP Touchpoint Analytics, visual discovery, and other security risks;
- Removes all pre-install Windows 10 Upgrade files/folders on Windows 7, 8, 8.1;
- Blocks 300+ different tracking/telemetry/ad servers (View the full list here);
- Patches various data leaks (IE/Edge, Explorer, Defender, MRT, SMB);
- Applies various network tweaks (enables RSS, ctcp, TCP-offload, ECN).

Blackbird can also be invoked in CMD with the following switches available
- blackbird -v = Verbose Mode – Displays additional information on all changes as they are being made.
- blackbird -s = Silent Mode – Skips all pauses. Can be used with other switches independently, good for scripts.
- blackbird -r = Recovery Mode – Restores/resets all changes made by Blackbird.
- blackbird -bak = Backup Mode – Save current system settings to an external file restorable at any time.
- blackbird -std = SpyTask Destroyer – Force remove stubborn spy tasks (See ReadMe).
- blackbird -scan = A full privacy scan of your system.
- blackbird -noupdate = Skip blacklisted KB updates removal. (Not available on Windows 10)
- blackbird -nohost = Skip host blocking.
- blackbird -nospeed = Skip system optimizations.
- blackbird -p = Enable/Disable Diagnostic Policy Service
- blackbird -t = Enable/Disable Sensors / Auto-screen rotation on tablets.
- blackbird -d = Enable/Disable Windows Defender.
- blackbird -e = Enable/Disable SMB over NetBIOS (close listening port 445).
- blackbird -h = Enable/Disable Hibernation (deletes hiberfil.sys file from root).
- blackbird -u = Enable/Disable auto-installation of Windows updates / Sets to manual download and install only.
- blackbird -m = Enable/Disable auto-installation of Malicious Removal Tool updates. (Not available on Windows 10)
- blackbird -n = Remove Blackbird network blocks.
- blackbird -i = Fix Bluetooth pairing issues.
- blackbird -l = Fix network/LAN connectivity issues.

Switches available on Windows 10
- blackbird -app = App Manager – User-friendly system application blocking;
- blackbird -kc = Kill/revive Cortana;
- blackbird -ke = Kill/revive Edge browser;
- blackbird -ks = Kill/revive Windows Store;
- blackbird -kf = Kill/revive Feedback/ContactSupport;
- blackbird -kl = Kill/revive Lockscreen;
- blackbird -c = Enable/Disable background access for all default system apps;
- blackbird -w = Disable/enable Task View / virtual desktops;
- blackbird -x = Enable/Disable Xbox Live services.
Notes
- User can run up to 9 different switches at one time. (excluding /APP & /SCAN which can only be executed one at a time.);
- Combining /S with any other switch will skip all pauses and apply the extra switch. Using /S without other switches will apply Blackbird;
- Combining /V with any other switch will also apply Blackbird in addition to other switches added;
- All switches must be separated with space, followed by a – or / before the next desired switch (i.e., blackbird -v -e -d ).
How to install?
- Download provided Archive and extract it
- Run desired executable (32bit or 64bit).
- Done!
